I love flowers

This is one of things about Paris and actually anyplace I've traveled that I absolutely love: flowers. In Paris, on almost every street corner or sometimes in the middle of the block, you'll find flowers. Look up and you see the adorable window-boxes mostly made of wrought iron with bunches of flowers and greens. I love that about any city. I remember while traveling in Great Britain that the most unadorned, small, and maybe considered insignificant little cottage would have the most beautiful garden in front of it, along side it, and probably in the back yard too. And, always, the dining tables would be set with flowers. Our boutique hotel in Paris had a single rose bud in a vase sitting on the vanity in the bathroom - beautiful touch. Take a look at some of these pics and see if you don't agree...flowers are the 'lagniappe' of a city.
