Ten minutes from Tordouet, France is the charming restaurant Le Moulin du Fossard owned and operated by Frederic and Veronique. Our host in Tordouet, Didier, insisted that we begin our stay by eating at this Michelin visited restaurant. Let me tell you, we were not dissapointed! Rather, our group was enchanted not only by the food, it's presentation, but also by the owners themselves. As written in a Michelin review, 'Crayfish salad with hazelnut oil, fillet of sea bass with grilled vegetables and pesto...The dishes are as mouthwatering

as the interior of this old mill is enchanting'. In this post you will see one of our entrees. Oh, I forgot to tell you that we were in France during 'white asparagus season', need I say more??

(Interesting factoid, an entree in France is actually the appetizer but I'm calling our main course by the American wording - entree.)

This was an apple tart in a pastry bundle...
